Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

"We are huge fans of the show PAWN Stars. We looked over at the PCGS table and look who was in the room submitting coins! The old man! And yes, he is a gruff as he is on the show. Here he is pictured with Don Willis President of PCGS. Just about everyone in the room ran up to him for pics (including us)! We were disappointed he didn't bring in Chumlee."

Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

It's going to be hard to use that Market Report as a flashpoint for a big tussle.

Did anybody mention spelling errors yet? Not that I read the report or anything (or that I really care about the speeling therein, for that matter)- I just wanted to get the jump on the complaints. Do I win a prize? image

edited to add... I guess I should post faster, huh? image

Do I even need to open the link to know that A. there's a shortage of nice coins to buy, B. there is dreck everywhere, and C. they just did a heap of business?

That makes two well written reports for the PCGS LV Show; Larry's and Laura's.

No time to bother reading it this week. Can someone provide the abridged version besides the usual copy that dreck is dead or slow, gold was hot, and Legend's 5 and 6 figure coins were selling like hotcakes?

RR, it echoed Larry Shapario's PCGS Event Report for the most part. Laura's comments were positive in nature but innocuous in general. There was mention of strong telemarketer demand for gold as well as brisk demand in general including rarities. Of course buy only CAC stickered gold image

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

I love to open the threads about Legend's Market Report.

    1. I know Laura is going to tell us about her take on numismatics at the latest show.

    2. The fact that eye appeal is everything by calling unattractive coins dreck.

    3. The brothers on the forum are going to post about how little she really knows about numismatics by laughing at her spelling.

    Makes for some good reading.

I wonder if "the old man" was buying CC dollars without his glasses? If he was Chumlee and company might have to "retire" him when he gets back to the shop. image
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
