LEE COUNTY: A man's son and two friends have been arrested and charged with the theft of handguns and valuable coins, according to Lee County Sheriff's Office reports.
The victim contacted deputies to report the theft of several guns and coins from his safe, reports said.
The safe was damaged and there were two shoe prints on the safe, according to deputies.
There were several firearms in the safe, but the victim said four handguns and coins worth over $122,000 were missing, reports said.
The victim suspected his son and his friends were responsible for the theft, reports said.
Zachary Hale, the victim's son, took deputies to the home of Jonathan Pack and led deputies to a blue velvet case with two gold American double eagle coins behind the house, reports said.
Holly Stewart, Jonathan Pack and Zachary Hale were all arrested and charged with grand theft over $20,000 and one count of grand theft of firearms.

A North Fort Myers man told deputies several guns and rare coins valued at more than $100,000 had been stolen from a safe and he suspected his son.
His son and a teenage girl, who lives at the same address, along with a boy, 15, were arrested and charged with two felonies each.
Zachary Thomas Hale, 16, who lives in the 10000 block of Bayshore Road, Holly Leigh Stewart, 18, of the same address, and Jonathan Wayne Pack, 15, who lives in the 2100 block of Laurel Lane, North Fort Myers, were each charged with larceny of more than $20,000 but less than $100,000 and grand theft of a firearm. Stewart was released early Thursday from Lee County Jail after posting a total of $6,500 in bonds.
John Sheehan, a Lee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said the two boys were released to the Department of Juvenile Justice custody. It’s not clear if they remain in custody.
It’s also not clear if Stewart is related to Roger Hale, the victim, or his son, but her mother has the last name of Hale and lives at the same address, Sheehan said.
According to Lee County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Roger Hale, 55, told deputies the safe inside his house had been removed and several guns and coins were taken. The investigation shows Hale and another older, adult son, left the house about 12:30 p.m. and when they returned at 5:30 p.m., found the safe had been breached. Roger Hale told deputies he suspected his younger son had something to do with it.
A deputy, who went to the call, saw a large, damaged safe on the ground. There were two shoe prints on it. Nearby was a wood-handled shovel, a metal rod used in post hole digging and some tan leather gloves.
Several guns remained in the safe, but Hale told deputies four handguns were missing along with several Krugerrands and American double eagle coins. The total value of the guns and coins were $122,000.
While a deputy was at the house, Roger Hale went to get his son and bring him back to be questioned. After asking the boy questions, deputies went to the other’s boy’s house. The son led a deputy to a blue velvet case which had two of the double eagle coins that had been hidden behind the house. It was not clear how many coins were stolen.
Deputies located the other two suspects and all were arrested. The father said he wanted to prosecute.
It was not clear whether the guns and other coins were recovered.
