I posted a link to the CU thread about Chad on his family's facebook page. His mother sent the following reply...

"I went to this message board, and words have left me. I am amazed at all of the kind words that are being said about Chad. He was the GREATEST kid, and it seems that he showed as much on the message boards. Please thank everyone for the donations they are giving in Chad's name, it means a lot, not only to us but to Duke also! They did amazing things for him. We of course are just hearbroken, and are striving to keep his memory alive! Thank you!~Cameron (Chad's Mom)"

Chad will be sorely missed here. I was often impressed with his years ahead of his age knowledge of coins and by the strength of character he demonstrated in his comments on this board. He was mature beyond his years. May God look after him now.

I just saw this thread which has truly saddened me.

Without knowing Chad, this is a real tragedy in a young person's passing. A real loss for the family and our forum.
