You guys are tough. The strike may not be over the top, but it's really good. The total dearth of marks, on the other hand, and the uniformity and quality of the luster, THOSE ARE over the top. Peace Dollars, or silver dollars in general just don't come like that.

...wouldn't know but on the price guide a +67 lists at 12 big ones.

I was thinking the same thing, as clean as the surfaces are on that coin. Without seeing it in person, i'm guessing it must also have some incredible luster to warrant the 68 grade. Just a thought...

Hair detail immidately jumps out as nothing special. But the rest of the coin is really a rare site to see so clean. Its a pretty coin but what if it had a hammered strike? Would it be a 69?
<< <i>I heard a rumor that was originally in a 64 holder? Is this a BS tale? >>
Lets blow this puppy up a bit!
Phils images do not sugarcoat any imperfections especially on white coins, but since I'm taking it to dinner plate size I increased the contrast and midtones a bit.
A MS64 peace dollar may look nice on regular slab scale, yet if you super size the images the coin's pretty surfaces will totally fall apart.
