It's still bullion to me....Will we ever see a 'W' AGE again???
Is this a collectible?...Or should I wait for the 30th Anniversary AGE? image

I just put an MS 70 into a bezel for a lady today. Her husband bought her the AGE for their 50th Wedding Anniversary and I had the displeasure of having to "screw it tighter" for her.
By the time they left, the bullion coin was AU 58.

I wasn't happy, but they were.

    Your MS70 or a PCGS/NGC MS70?
You cracked it out for her? Did you tell them that it (if PCGS) was worth more and they could get the same for less and still keep the better one?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Authorized PCGS Dealers can get special inserts for their bulk bullion submissions.

There's practically an entire set of 20th Anniversary SAE's out there that show up from time to time.

Granted they are not graded but the whole point is that PCGS Dealers can get a big variety of "Special Inserts".
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

No, it wasn't a crack out. It was a raw specimen, perfectly struck, and beautiful. This (70) was my grade and the wearing down to AU 58 a bit of tongue in cheek humor for all the handling the coin saw. The only thing I said to them was "yes ma'am " & " yes sir", and I wished them a Happy Golden Anniversary.

Now back to the original post... I think the label and coin are collectible only because bullion is treated with higher regard now that it's reached a certain plateau.

Very interesting comment. Bullion reaching a certain plateau means that it has leveled out....Is that a good thing?
I don't want my 2008-W Gold Buffs to reach a plateau.....just thinkin'! image

Oh, and thanks 19Lyds for your observations.
