The path to success is to only buy certified coins for retail prices from large dealers, then sell them back for 15% to 20% less when you get tired of them.
Awesome coin by the way...

IIRC ... I think we shared a PM where I was certain it would get there ... happy for you that it did

I'm not in charge of "you suck's" but that sure seems to qualify! Nice going!!
Lance.
No one has ever won a great coin on the bay, please do not look for deals on ebay.
Ebay is bad, bad , bad, so no need to look for cherries on ebay.
I picked up an $11. coin on a BIN and flipped it to a coin shop for $90.
Not a big score, but kind of fun, nonetheless.

<< <i>The same deals on ebay tend to be the same ones you can find at show. THey all tend to stem from being able to grade better then the seller in the raw to graded side of "deals" >>
I agree that you can find deals at a shows but ebay is a completely different beast. Ebay is 24/7 and how many shows can you go to?????? Plus the cost and time of going to all those shows.
Ebay is by far the best place to cherry pick as many sellers have no idea of what they have and many have horrible photos. Dealers at shows should at least have some knowledge.
The best thing about ebay is that can buy coins from anywhere and it is 24/7 and can do all this in your underwear

The point of my post was more about the fact that if you know more them the seller(grading, varieties, recent trends, ect) the buyer will always have a leg up. It's how dealers make their money although I will admit EBay is a fine place to find clueless sellers.
The auction was for an ANACS MS65 Photograded a long time ago (certainly prior to the FB designation) and sold for approximately MS65 money based on less than adequate pictures.
What went North could just as easily gone South but in this case................Woo Hoo.
Reminds me of the two Nickels I pruchased at Longbeach back in Feb 08. One was a 41-S and the other a 41-D. Paid maybe $10 apiece and both came back as MS66FS coins.
I guess it's times like this that make all the frustrating days worthwhile which is why, sometimes, I just love this stuff!
