What is a fair buy price for a 1/10 oz AGE?

A friend has a 1/10 oz AGE and wants to sell it to me. What should I offer him? What are dealers paying these days for 1/10 oz AGE's?

Most dealers would pay melt or +2%. In a private sale, especially since he is your friend, an offer of around melt +7% seems fair. That way its cheaper for you to buy from him than buying from a dealer, yet he gets more by selling to you than by selling to a dealer.

CNI appears to be paying 8.7% over spot.

How many B&M dealers pay CNI prices? Not many, I imagine.

I purchased 6 this weekend for $135 each and was very happy with that price. I went back later to get more but he was sold out so I guess others felt the same way

18% over is about right....not a GREAT price, but not a ripoff either. Call the dealer and ask what he is paying on those same coins though. I'd wager that he is right at melt, and maybe 2-3% over melt if he has a buyer waitlist.

I recently picked up a couple "NGC 69s" for $125 each which I was happy with.

$125 is a fair price for both parties.

I agree with $125 figure as stated in quite a few posts above.

I do remember spending my monthly allowance every month on one of those for $30 back when I was in 4th grade, and was beyond thrilled to get a 1/4 oz for $66 image

Call a B & M and offer to match whatever they will pay.
