ONLY............................ if you store it improperly.

Meaning, on top of the water heater with the plastic sleeves pulled out while living in or near Yellowstone National Park.

I've got Dansco's that I've had for more than 15 years and none of the coins even come close to that including the 90% and 99% Silver versions.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

ya see a water heater in my safe ? and I'm far from yellowstone.

although I've sold off the washington's I also have Jefferson's that have toned that same way....
if I could show photo's as good as that I would..but only have a simple point and shoot.

I used to keep my latest fondest purchase on my nighttable ... I guess I literally slept with my coins. Of course, I was a fickle lover. The next week I'd get some other new coin, and the one from the previous week was locked in the safe. Two coins I really slept with were my favorite proof shield nickel, a gorgeous rainbow-toned 1866 NGC PF67* CAM that I used to call "The Star of Sunnywood," and my 1858 toned gem proof seated dollar NGC PF65. I think I also slept with my gloriously toned 1885 Lib nickel, NGC MS66*, the first Lib nickel to get a star at NGC. The shield nickel was actually under my pillow one night. I know, I should be embarrassed to admit this, but it's all in this past. I'm in recovery now.

    Best,
    Sunnywood
