The 24 is probably in the 25-30 range- closer to 30, in my humble opinion.

The 1918-s is a very tough call but I think F15 is probably the best estimate based on the image

without seeing the other posts first, I think F15 on the 1918, VF25 on the second coin.

F15+, close to VF20 on the first one, and VF25-30 on the second.
Having just studied certified versions this past weekend from ANACS, PCGS, and NGC, I was surprised at the amount of wear present on VF graded coins.

    Edwin,

    Nice pickups ...

    I would grade the 18-S as a F-12 (some claims to 15)

The 24 looks nice, but the fileds look a little porous from the picture ... probably in the VF30 to VF35 range.

“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

  • Thanks. I'm pretty sure the '24 is problem free, most likely the porosity is due to my terrible pictures. Also, maybe I'm being to liberal with my grading, since I gave the 18-S a F-15, and the 1924 an EF-40.
