Thats a danged good question since I believe that most folks who are collectors club members only became one after happening upon these forums. I know I did.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
and if the TPGs said they were counterfeit if they could return them to submitter
or if they would have to send them to the secret service / treasury / feds / FBI whoever those guys are that track counterfeits
after a submission like that, it would be like getting kicked when you are down without getting the items back to see if you could return them for a refund from source
Nope, someone testing that waters. This person knows what they have, all expensive key dates, and was hoping to fly under the PCGS radar. Couple hundred in grading fees would easily be offset if 1 coin made it, very obvious what's going on.

That's a bit harsh without knowing the situation. Unless, of course, you are the submitter. How do you know the person is not a new collector, or possibly an ol' time collector trying to get his key dates certified??

It's MUCH more likely that someone got swindled...bought the coins at a pawn shop or some such and is learning the hard way.
Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.
Further proof that especially when it comes to the key, expensive dates, if you don't really know your coins, you either buy slabbed (which unfortunately, you still must know a bit about the slabs), or you buy from someone you really, really, really trust!

The name is LEE!
<< <i>I hope not. I have a better question, why would anyone? Why would PCGS put that in a holder of any kind? >>
They are not holdered. Their authenticity has been called questionable, therefore, no holder.

<< <i>That would sure leave a sting. One that likely drives someone right out of the hobby forever. Sad.
Especially if they paid strong for all of the coins and bought them from a reputable dealer.
Wow, I don't feel so bad about some of my submissions now!
