    I don't really know.

Although I'm optimistic about Pd's future, I dumped my palladium about a month ago.

I got tired of the illiquid market and the huge buying premiums.

It is a thinly traded market and not very liquid

it is similar to lumber - you will get killed in the futures market, chopped up and spit out broker than you even knew you could get
a couple weeks of limit moves against you that you can not even get out of, is wealth killing

if you buy physical and consider it similar to stock shares you plan on holding for years, then daily gyrations will not concern you and you may be okay

there is another thread on Palladium floating around here

I bought a few shares of the ETF. Coin premiums are too steep for me.

With Pd, timing is everything. As the lyrics go "You need to know when to hold them and need to know when to fold them." If you are jumping in now, you're about a year late, however, I feel that there is still further upside potential. I've started to take some profit of the table in Pd and have no problem selling it on eBay.

I wanna like palladium, but as DoubleEagle59 points out, it's much more efficient cost-wise to eliminate the huge spread on a precious metals position if possible. Palladium is still a specialists' market until the spreads shrink to a range similar to what the other metals normally can be bought & sold.
