Lincoln cent question

I saw an ad in the current Coin World offering all 20 different Lincolns. Eight copper plated, 8- 95% copper and 4 proofs. If some of these 95% coppers end up in circulation, how is the best way to identify them?

They sound different when you drop them on a countertop. coppers have ring, the zinkers have a clunk. try it, youll see (hear)

Drop them in salt water overnight image - no don't... just kidding. However, the zinc coins do degenerate extremely fast in salt water or acidic soil. Cheers, RickO
