KaBooooom!!!!!

Just bought this a few hours ago at the Chicago show......Been a card I have desperately wanted since I began collecting this series a couple months ago. Of about 150 vendors at the show, there were exactly 2 Drum backs.....this one and another in a complete backs set in the Goodwin auction. This is one of those cards where you can definitively say "the time to buy a Drum is when you see one!".

    Big time card, sweet!

and a # graded example, even better (Many Drums are heavily damaged or trimmed)

    Good info on Drum
There was a PSA-3 Kroh in group

Thanks fkw....I was very happy to have laid out $2500 on this example. With so few Drums in existence, and the vast majority of those locked away in strong private hands, its hard to find these for sale!

  • Didn't PSA just announce that it would begin listed the back variations on the T206 flips?

Crimson, I'll take it. Gecko, I now have a PSA 3 Drum of the same card available for $2630 and I'll throw in a Wilt UD Heroes Auto slabbed PSA/DNA auto I bought last month.

gecko got a very good deal, especially walking away with it at a show. The one in the auction last year (PSA-3) was low for a 3 (compare the other 3's) and all the prices were short because so many were auctioned at one time (no bidding war). If those were auctioned 1 at a time they would have easily brought more $$.

before that huge find, most of the Drums available were the top trimmed ones and they sometimes reached close to $2K and were "A" cards.

PS for a "2" his is nice, nice eye appeal and I only see a light horizontal crease on lower back and normal corner wear. I would have called it VG

Gecko you might like this, Phelsuma Laticauda in my yard the other day, on banana image

That is a beautiful Day gecko!

Not to get off track, but I have owned many different species of gecko in my life. My favorite was the docile leopards, my least favorite were the mean as hell Tokays. I currently have none now though due to having a toddler in the house. But I plan on maintaining a Viper gecko (teratolepis fasciata) colony when my kid gets older. From ages 12-18 I thought I was going to be a herpetologist, but upon entering college, and talking to a few biologists, I realized that was more of a "hobby job" than anything else. Where do you live that you can see a Day gecko in your yard???
  • Ummmmmmmm...what is a "herpetologist?" Or do we not want to know?

Considering your sigline, this is very ironic. Did someone mention "childish"?

Yeah, I was being childish a couple months ago too when I complained about how you stole $30 from me via the BST. I should NEVER complain publicly when a fellow forum member steals from me!

Isn't there another thread entitled "If you're proud post a scan"? I really don't see why this card needed it's own thread with a misleading title, I thought this was about one of Billy May's advertising products...I am quitting the hobby because of this.
