Paypal's "Gift" option...Calling Storm!!!

Just curious about this new option from paypal. My 1st question is how long will this be around before paypal begins to notice how many merchants are abusing it? Secondly, if a buyer sends payment via this option, do they then have no recourse if the seller doesnt make good on delivery?

New? It's been out for a while. I too have been wondering how long this will last. I know I have used it a bunch lately and like most good things, the end will come sooner or later. As for protection, I don't believe you are covered. I would only use it with people I have dealt with before or on these boards which if something DOES go wrong, you have some sort of recourse.
