AHHHHHH!! I've never dealt with paper before so I just figured they were in dollars, not cents. Thanks!

    Three $5 gold coins=$15 plus a 50 cent note plus a 15 cent note = $15.65.

No. Don't take a hike. Learn and, most importantly, have fun!

This was in a very small town in Colorado. The young lady behind the counter defecated an aqua-colored terra-cotta building stone, and yelled for the Postmistress. The Postmistress said she would have to call Washington to see if they could accept it.

I said never mind, took an extra 15 cents out of my pocket to complete the transaction, and dropped the note into a clear glass jar on the counter collecting money for the local school baseball team and left.

I put an 1804 spiked chin half cent in a parking meter once. It was EF details but had a small hole (square nail). Didn't even get any time on the meter.
