Today I broke a record of sorts. Previously, my single day record for gold purchase had been 6.5 ounces in 1 shot. I shattered that today with a 10oz deal. Small potatoes to alot of you, but an historic event for me! Today's purchase makes for a total of 60 AGE quarters I now own with another 40 more in the works. I wanna be the 1st kid on my block with 100 AGE quarters!
And a group photo.

I like the divisibility of quarters, and they have the advantage over tenths with a slightly lower premium and much more heft and substantial feel. I thought about doing all halves, but $300 chunks of gold for some reason appealed more to me than $600 chunks. I can think of only one disadvantage to buying quarters over the other 3 sizes, and thats the face value.....somehow you get screwed with quarters!!!
<< <i>Next week I'll have that 400-oz. Degussa for ya...........

Can I pay for it in Monopoly money?.....Nevermind, even then I still wouldnt have enough!

Something about the size of those quarters just makes them the perfect bullion stash.

I like the quarters too. But then, I also like the tenths, halves, and 1 ozers every bit as much! It's just not hard to like these dense, pretty, substantial and valuable coins. Not hard at all, no matter the size. No kidding.
You pick up a gold coin and your first impression is "dang, that's cool".
I knew it would happen.
