Really need another 100 ounces of silver to get close to that 20:1 ratio. Stopped by the B&M today to see if he had ANY 90%. Not a dime. He said he'd have rolls of 2010 eagles tomorrow, but I'm not really a fan.

Anyway, I was checking through his classic gold and spotted this:

(That schmutz at 9:00 is just cardboard on the 2x2)

I asked if he'd let it go cheaper, and he checked the monitor (Kitco) and said I could have it for $275.

Me: really? Him: Yeah, sure.

I really didn't need it, but how could I pass up that price? $274.52 is melt!

I don't think it's really XF--VF would probably be pushing it. But it's all honest wear. This was a half eagle that was actually spent.

Oh well. Now I guess I need 105 more ounces of silver image

How can you ever go wrong with classic U.S. gold at melt?
