Has anyone ever made silver pieces in $10 and $20 denoms?

    Not in the United States, at least not officially. Maybe some other countries with their own "dollar" have done so?

    Bahamas dollar is pegged to the US dollar (Equivalent)...and the Bahamas made a $10 coin form sterling silver with and actual silver content of about 1.5 ounces....Several varieties over a few years in the early seventies.

    How about Panama....they made a bunch of silver balboa's prior to their independence.....not sure if the Balboa was pegged to the US $.

    Yes it was. And the coins were exactly the same as their American counterparts in weight and composition.
