Boy am I in over my head with half dimes

New project and I still haven't finished my others! I have been buying a ton on VG-XF half dimes lately and today I bought the danco to fill up. Oh boy starting a half dime set and a bust half set at the same time may not have been the brightest idea. At least I have pretty much finsihed my Jefferson proof, UNC and variety registry sets, but my canadian cents, nickels and dollars are only half done. Don't sugar coat it, how tough is this half dime set going to be to finish in nice, raw, original and crusty VG-AU's?? I am not worried about the bust halves because there seems to be no shortage where I am at.

If you have already bought a ton of them, I'm guessing you are finding a lot them readily available. I suppose like any other long series, there are some known tough ones, some sleepers, and some dates that the sheets are 'way off' on. The odd thing about this series, to me anyway, is that it appears that a number of the Philly issues are the toughies, instead of the branch mint issues.

Actually, I think the opposite is true. I don't think you want anything that resembles a "well-managed promotion" to run the prices up on these coins.

Best to be collecting coins that stay under the radar...

Like every coin world article, coins get hot, then the article is ixed in with all of the other under rated varities. Problem being is the 50 or so I cought were from 2 sources that suddenly appeared, and a few one or two's here and there. Once these are gone, noting being privy to the source myself, that may very well be it here locally??
