Do tell..what is a ballistic roll anyway? do you use these as ammo? ballistic: 1.of or connected with ballistics 2.of the motion and force of projectiles- 3.going ballistic
Obviously a scam for the unwary or uninformed. I do not know where the term 'ballistic' for coin rolls originated. I first saw it in an ad and now here. As pointed out by Gemina, it has no relation to ballistics. Just another appellation by con artists to (in their opinion) 'tone up' their advertisement. Cheers, RickO
I have seen people bring the ballistic rolls into the local B&M here on several occasions, and the people who have them can't believe they're being offered face value for them, and don't understand why the dealer is telling them to take them to the bank...

cant be worse than the term "fresh" used to describe coins sold on the bst and ebay..to me, 'fresh' is as bad as any hype on the web or bs tv salesman....

They really were a scam... being sold for 2x face value.
I educated her afterwards and she was fairly dissapointed... still, it's the thought that counts.
