Seeking opinions on this 1860-S Seated half

I like this coin, but the light color has me wondering if it might have been cleaned in the past. Most of my LSHs are more darkly toned. I don't see any evidence of a cleaning on the surfaces (no hairlines) but wonder if it had been dipped in the past. I would grade it at VF35-EF40. There is still some luster along the rims. Sorry for the size difference between the obverse and reverse photos. I don't know how that happened as they were scanned at the same time with no change to the scan setting. Oh, ignore the booger at 1:30 on the reverse. Thanks in advance.

The coin has a nice overall look to it. But in answer to your question, the color is light enough for a coin of its age, such that odds are good that it was once cleaned in some fashion - likely dipped.

Edited to add: The above said, on my other computer monitor it looks somewhat darker/more original.

Yours looks like a market acceptable XF40, most likely dipped in its past, but if no hairlines are present, then it wasn't cleaned.

Agreed! I like it, and it would most likely slab VF30-35. It may have been dipped long ago, but it looks nice to me!

It's as original as one could ever hope for. I would call it choice original, never cleaned or dipped. Look at the way the dirt clings to the devices on the reverse if there is any doubt. I hope it's about to show up on the BST forum, because I need an example of this date.

Thanks for everybody's responses so far. I purchased the coin off EBay raw a few years ago and resides in a Dansco. I won't be selling it anytime soon.
