What caused this? Lincoln Cent oddity.

I thought this was a clash but it does not seem to fit. Take a look at the pics.

The inverted ONE is to scale with the obverse.

looks like it was clashed with something else prior to striking this one.

Almost looks like it could be the steps on the Lincoln Memorial, but since this is a wheatie, that's pretty much out of the picture.

Looks more like CENT to me with the E under the inverted T. Nice clash.

That is a classic perfect example of a die clash on a wheatie
edited to add - I should elaborate - it is showing a die transfer from a clash
