1910 Brown Lincoln...Do You Think that it is Original?

Picked this up at a Local Coin show this morning. No reason other than I spent a lot of time at the guy's table and wanted to make a courtesy purchase.


I think that the coin has nice brown luster, and probably is original. The dollar value is not there so I would not send this coin to PCGS. Curious to know what other forum members think as to orginiality and the grade that pcgs would assign the coin if it were sent in.

The traces of red aren't enough for an RB designation. I'd grade it 65BN. Very handsome!

I'm on the fence with the grade. I understand the AU-58 sentiment,
although having the coin in-hand, I would say 64BN.

You're in a better position to judge, Pete. It might very well be AU. Or it could be a decent MS, as I guessed earlier

The high points are clean but softly defined (shoulder, jaw, hair). That could be from wear. Or it could be a decent strike from a worn die. Or it could be just the photos.
