Engelhard Prospectors

Am I way behind the curve, or has anyone ever noticed the 1984 version has two different reverses?

  • Wingsrule ....... Good eye .....

In early 1984, Engelhard changed from the Globe/E reverse to the Eagle/Flag reverse.

The Eagle/Flag is the more common .... but there is no premium for the Globe/E.

Has anyone ever done a Engelhard reference book, not only to Prospectors, but everything Englehard produced when they where open?

    Internet search reveals nothing.

Highly unlikely ... The only decent reference book available now, is the 6th edditon: An Indexed Guide Book of Silver Art Bars, by Archie Kidd.. The last in depth reference book was the 2d edition, long out of print published in 1991 or 92. Good luck in finding that copy and if you do, it will set you back $300 - $400.
