Any info on a 2004 isle of man 64 crown coin? 70+ ounces of silver and huge!

Sorry no images yet.

The coin says.."The world's largest passenger liner", "64 Crowns" , ".999 silver". It comes incased in a porthole with a stand up wooden stand.
The COA says it weighs 2000 grams and has a mintage of 500.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

That is same type coin as mine....porthole in plank wall slab and all. Thanks Ciccio!image

I paid $2 over spot for it. Probably not the best buy that I have made. I realize this coin could be hard to sell when the time comes.

  • 2000 grams = 64.3014931 troy ounces

And if the linked coin is a good example of what these usually go for, I'd say you made a very wise purchase.

Thanks for the corrected math SilverEagles92.image I would have overpaid for it by 5+ ounces.

Aparently I was mistaken fc, I don't see .999 anywhere on the coin. It was on the COA that comes with the coin.
I don't like the fact that .999 is nowhere on the coin itself.

I wouldn't feel bad about it not having the purity indicated. It's almost certainly the same coin, and its mintage information and purity should be readily available to anyone interested in buying it when you go to sell.

Very nice pick up-fivecents!image Finest marked on rim? 64 crowns - does that mean it's monetized?
