6 1 cent pieces, all 1944S.
All are XF-AU. 2 might grade UNC.
All have some red with 2 being full red.
4 50 cent Notes.
All 4 are circulated with folds but all have crispness in them. No tears, no stains except for 2 small spots. They are labeled Japanese Government and "PI" in red on the note.
According to Googled site "The Coin Site", the 1944&1945 coins were minted in the US to the same specs as US coinage. Silver content for the 50 cents is the same as US 1/2 dollar and so on. Five cent pieces are a nickle composition.
THe Japanese notes were called "Japanese invasion money" and printed in 1942.
This small collection was put together by my Father-in-law who served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Phillipines. Sure wished he had told me about how he happened to save these coins and paper.
