High end, lock 8, or just a couple of "high" bidders?

Unless there's something on the back knocking it down, that looks undergraded - and gorgeous.

  • Thats what im thinking as well. Looks like an easy 8 to me, which would be about right for the closing price.

If you look at the back of the card, there appears to be a very tiny nick on the Larry Bird border. I dont see it on the front but I wouldnt be surprised if that is what knocked that card down to a 7. Its a beauty though.

Also, and this is just my opinion, the top right and bottom left corners appear to be slightly touched.

On the back the touches I am speaking of become more apparent.

Nice card I'd have no problem seeing it in an 8 holder.

Guy named Garibaldi seems to know something about this card, (not this exact card) maybe he

    will chime in.

    Good for you.

Looks like it was cut low enough to eliminate the registration line that's on many of them. That's a plus

i'm gonna go out on a limb here and bet the white speckling on the surface is much more visible when the card is in hand.

    properly graded.

Would be smarter to buy one that is already graded an 8 in my opinion.

I understand buying the card and not the grade, but why overpay by 40% for the grade?
And is it me, or does the bottom border look wavy? Strong 7 though...but agree I would rather buy an 8 for the same price.

I would email the high bidder, tell him what other 7's have recently gone for, and then ask if he wants to reconsider his high bid.

    Easy! Just kidding...

I was watching that card as well.

While that is a nice looking 7, nice looking 8's can be had for similar or less $$.

What is even crazier, is the ungraded card the same seller had listed last night that sold for $202.50!

Looks like some "high bidders" were in the market for a Bird/Magic RC last night.
