    Me to.

Scared to sell any without being stamped

    image

Talk about how if they weren't stamped that it would be another thing entirely

    image

Stamp them first before selling, no problem

    image

    And yet

    Listed without a reprint stamp

    image

  • No one cares. If your tired of it, go away.

Why make a thread about it.

It's not his responsibility what happens after they sell... He listed as reprint, I mean come on.
Would it be ideal for him to stamp 'reprint' on them before selling? yea. if I had the cards, would I stamp reprint on them? yea, but I don't have a stamp! I wouldn't handwrite it on there, I dont think. So if selling these listed as 'reprints' is so bad, then I guess I'd be bad in his situation too.

John the whole idea of it being "Wrong" is yea you can sell it on the 'up & up" stating in the auction that it is a reprint, however it is getting the card into curculation and most likely into a scammers hand to rob an unsuspecting customer.

The whole drama surounding this is getting tiresome, its a shame guys cant just fight it out.

Personally I think at the very least guys should just bomb each other via PM and not bring it to the public.

I think you're being a bit shortsighted to say its not his responsibility what happens after they sell. You have to consider where the cards end up. Its everyone's responsibility to rid the hobby of fakes.

I tried to do that with a $30 donation to charity just to have a certain someone (see my sigline) destroy a fake card. Unfortunately that member backed out of our deal and decided to not destroy the card afterall. Lesson learned.
  • Isn't the ultimate hypocrisy making a hypocrisy thread about someone selling a fake card while being known as someone who sells fake cards... or is that more irony?
  • I believe hypocrisy as it is defined would involve a person who KNOWS what they are doing wrong is wrong...In MULLINS case it seems like he may have done something wrong (and I think selling counterfeits falls in this category) but did not understand it was such. So he's not a hypocrite in my book, just naive. Then again many people on this site don't really want to hear the truth but just want to hear their own self-righeteous A*S

  • I'm having a hard time seeing what Smittys has done wrong here??? This thread shouldn't have been started.

    PMs should never be posted.

Kind of like posting PMs and starting a thread to publicly slam someone over $3 dollars worth of free stuff.............. vader.

    Sigh.

Do you want the screen caps of where he says he knows that they can't be sold on eBay due to being counterfeits?

Do you want the screen caps of where he says eBay has pulled his auctions of them before?

He KNOWS and fully understands what he's doing and he is the hypocrite for attacking someone else asking questions about fakes.

Might want to refresh my memory where I slammed someone over $3 worth of free stuff Trent. If it's what I think it is maybe you should go and read it again.

The benderbroeth thread you started boiled down to about $3 worth of free stuff. On a $10 dollar deal that was completed, you were out maybe $3 worth of free cards.

    a few things:

the hypocrisy here is that when I posted a question about what to do with my Gretzky cards (that I bought over 10 years ago when I was a kid) two-three members flipped out. I sold some on the B/S/T board when I was a new member, and they were stamped "Reprint". I put some on eBay (not stamped, but disclosed in title that they were reprints) and barfvader decided to come here and make a thread of it. Of the members who have flipped out, one has already been banned.

Now when someone with 6k+ posts makes multiple threads about his Patrick Roy fake, nobody says anything to him. He even is willing to sell the fake to me through PM "I'll listen to an offer on either or both"

I know it's wrong to post PM's, and I have felt in three cases it was necessary to do so. Is it OK to post private emails/messages from eBay members to show people the other side of someone? Most people here do this.

What am I sick of? I'm sick of coming here and having one person bash on me so badly that everyone follows him. Whenever I make a post there are him and his followers who just bash for the sake of bashing. I ask questions, share my collection, try to be a good contributing member here, and instead it's bash, bash, bash Patrick.

So what? I get a daily pile-on here. You need to consider just how pathetic some of these guy's lives are where they are more interested in being internet toughmen than to discuss things intelligently and with sound logic. They usually have no fact based or logical retorts, so they resort to name calling and picture posting. Thats how you know you have gotten the best of it.image

I'm not a follower, nor am I part of any clique, but I will say that I'm sick of you posting PM's. This demonstrates a complete lack of respect towards other members. If you want to consider that bashing, then go right ahead. Your card issues are quite entertaining as you make more out of nothing than most anyone I've seen on these boards. You try to use other wrongs to make your wrongs right. It doesn't work that way . . . at least not in my book!

    not a follower? yeah, OK.

lack of respect? read the PM's, there you will find lack of respect.
So it's OK to post emails and eBay messages?

make more out of nothing? Isn't that what you're doing? Stay on topic. This thread is about bashing one member and not another for doing the same thing.

and talk about hypocrisy, barf posted one of my PM's...lack of respect poked at me, yet not at him.

    Dude:

    You're habitual...

And who do I follow? In case you haven't noticed, I'm an equal opportunity offender. I attack what I see as wrong and I don't care who says it or who is upset with what I say. And, unlike most here, when I am incorrect, I don't make excuses, I make a public apology. That won't be necessary in this case. You are wrong, AGAIN!

You SHOULD NOT post private messages plain and simple. That's disrespectful regardless of the content. I've been bombarded with many venomous emails filled with all sorts of foul language from many regulars here and some of the "Crew of Complaint," but I've never posted them or forwarded them to the administrators. You, on the other hand, have posted PM's on at least three occasions WITHOUT permission from the other party. Reading the most recent one, there was no disrespect, just an inability to agree. The fact that he had a counterfeit is the exact same thing that you did on the boards previously. Neither of you are right. REPEAT, NEITHER OF YOU ARE RIGHT!

You, Patrick, are a whiny pain in the arse. While you may have the greatest intentions, you go about things all wrong and then try to say that it's alright because someone else did the same thing. That's pure childish action as far as I'm concerned.

And you want me to stay on topic? What topic? The fact that someone wasn't happy with your offer and had a counterfeit card for sale? Sounds pretty dasm familiar to me. Another case of the pot calling the kettle black...

Scott, when I posted the reprints I was bashed for it. I am still bashed for this. Smitty posts them and nobody says anything. That's the hypocrisy.

As far as posting PM's, barfvader did the same thing here in this thread. No comment to him? So it's OK for him to do it, yet not for me? Like it's OK for smitty to post and offer reprints for sale, but not me?

I can't make a post here without vader or his followers blowing everything out of proportion, then saying I am blowing things out of proportion. Another case of hypocrisy.

You just don't get it, do you? ANYONE that posts PM's is in line for my wrath. Vader? Don't know him, don't support him and wouldn't know him if I walked in an he was doing my wife. But if it makes you feel better to suggest that I support him, then go ahead and spew your crap.

I don't really care what you think. You've demonstrated that you are incapable of understanding a simple concept of TWO WRONGS DO NOT MAKE A RIGHT. Its amazing how many here can't grasp such simple concepts or complain about things that really have little bearing on everyday life...
