I've seen other sellers do the same thing. My son recently bought a cell phone for $1 with s/h of $100. I just assumed the seller was getting out of FVF's.
The buyer here should try to hold him to the $12 s/h he put in the auction description. I wouldn't be surprised it that's the reason the last sale on this card didn't go through.
Same thing as a tax cheat in my mind. I play fair and pay my ebay fees in full without circumventing the rules. Why should this seller be exempt from paying for the same service im paying for? Ever wonder WHY ebay fees continue to climb? Its the same thing as shoplifting.
Ebay fees continue to climb because they are desperately trying to right a sinking ship. 90% of their recent changes have screwed over the small time sellers and lots of them have left the community.
Who really cares anymore, eBay only provides a service. Sure,it's a violation of the TOS but when eBay is slowly changing the rules to benefit their bottom line and basically terminate the smaller seller, what's the issue with that. Never mind allowing criminal activity to continue(pack resealers) with the excuse ""we'll get to it once the sale is completed" .
