is because the photo on the left looks grainy.. which is consistent with repro's I have seen
The counterfeits are usually always centered without the rough cut, so this is a new one for me.
I'm going to say the one on the left is real. I can see more details on the pads. The right looks too light in color, but looking at the back really throws me off as the print is flip flopped and not consistent with the front colors. Maybe this is a trick question and they're both fake. I'll still say left is real.

Edited to add: I changed my answer, I think, in the other one with better pics.
Save on ebay with Big Crumbs
Left might not pass first sub
They call me "Pack the Ripper"
I asked through PM if you would be interested in selling both and you seemed offended by my saying the real one would probablyscore at least a 7, and even lower if there is a hairline crease present. I even asked if you would be willing to trade a Gretzky fake with the Roy fake, but you have yet to reply...Gretzky too hard to pass off as real?
Again, I don't really understand what you are doing here and to be quite honest I don't like you putting a fake Roy in a holder with $240 or $135.
Sorry, but your threads seem fishy to me and raise red flags.

<< <i>I don't really understand the idea behind your recent threads here, are you trying to troubleshoot potential negotiations in an order to pass one of these off as real?

A longtime ago I bought a bunch of fake cards. I found that out here.
Now I have a real Roy rookie so I was seeing if people could tell the difference.
I've had the one fake for over two years look at my older posts.
I haven't tried to sell it pawn it or anything.
But it is a great learning tool since most people on this thread picked the fake as real.
You just have sour grapes since you offered me 50.00 delivered for the pair and I said NO thank you.
And no I'm not selling my Gretskey Rookie Fake even though you want it.
Again it's good to have to compare with other ones

The last PSA 7 Roy sold for 81.00 on eBay...my offer of 50.00 was a fair price for the pair, as far as the fake, not sure what it is "worth"
As far as the offer of $50, it's only a matter of disagreeing on the condition of the card. You think it will grade at least an 8 and I think nor more than 7...again, $50 is a fair price for the pair considering I would be taking the risks of a) the card grading out and b) buying a notable raw rookie card from someone known to have at least one fake.
sour grapes? It's not like you're the only guy with a Roy.

So what's fishy or Red Flags ?????????
<< <i>PS the 135 and 240 holders are what they came to me in.

you have Gretzky fakes too?
and btw - if you sell a fake, tell the customer it is a fake. Others here will say that fakes should be stamped to prevent future scams. The Gretzky cards I sold here last year were stamped.
not everyday you see someone gathering information on people's opinions on a fake vs real card.
makes me think something is up.
red flags.
fishy.
Thats why I've had the ones I have for over two years.
They are good to use for reference.
And it was amazing how many thought the fake was the real one, for a moment I
thought I had two real ones..
Then I put up LARGE scans of both cards and they easily picked out the fake.
So one good one bad, as I thought in the begining.

Notable rookie cards I sell are graded by PSA. Not sure what you think is funny here.

Your not the sharpest tool in the shed are you?
And yet previously you were scared to sell ones without the stamp on the back.
Wonder why you changed your mind. Oh wait, I know.
You have a problem with buying a notable raw rookie card from someone known to have at least one fake, when it's you yourself that sells the fakes and only you and the powers that be know just how many you have.
That is some funny stuff right there.

Al the above sales/deals on this forum are from the board, almost a year ago, and are reprints/counterfeits/fakes, ie: not real, and each person who I have given one to, or sold one to, knows what exactly it is.
I have no idea why you keep bringing this up when you clearly do not understand what you are saying.
