I don't folow the AFC that closely but just a guess that the spread will be around Colts -71/2 or 8 1/2 - tough but not impossible for the Jets to win.

Rex Ryan has me believing all that boasting now!!

It's been a long while (since 1982) since we've won two playoff games in a season.

Yes, we were 12-4 that season, and up 10-0 at the half before the Martin fumble to open the 2nd half..bad times...image

Jets looked more formidable than the Ravens this week -- although the Ravens looked better last week. I would think covering Dallas Clark will be the key.

I agree. The Jets had no answer for Gates...SD should have thrown his way 20 times.

Revis will shut down Wayne (again), the Jets should double Clark, and force Garcon and Collie to beat them.

I called it before I saw any lines - it's more fun that way. image

Actually, it's not that hard to guess the lines relatively accurately...ya just gotta know the teams and know how the bookies operate.

I saw it coming. No offense to Baltimore but I was happy Indy played Baltimore instead of the Jets in the second round. Gonna be another test for Indy to stop the run.

That's cool if people want to cite the "win" at Indy earlier this season. Although it was a tight game in the first half there's no guarantee that Indy used plays that they planned to use in case they met the Jets in the playoffs. Either way kudos to the Chargers for looking ahead to Indy. A bunch of Charger fans have spent the weekend telling me how Indy choked last year in the playoffs Of course this is funny considering Indy was a lower seed in a visiting stadium in OT. Today would certainly be a better example of "choke". Hopefully I will have the opportunity to go to Indy this weekend!
  • I hope the jets beat the pants off the colts and teach their coach a lesson. I will laugh my ass off. I still say it was a mistake to sit the starters in week 16 against the jets. The jets have alot of confidence going and they already know they can beat the colts on their turf.

Colts have a bit of revenge factor going, as the Jets stopped their unbeaten streak, with or without some players.

Colts QB is having one of his best seasons, and is an expert at reading defenses.

Colts, have a little more playoff experience, and will be at home.

That said, I'll be rooting for the Jets, and want to hear why / how the above will be overcome by NY !

Those of us who live in the state of Indiana spell it Indy. image Even those of us who are in Bear territory and couldn't care less if the Colts win. Indy is a town like Boston who both think way more of themselves than most folks do.
  • I'm rooting for the Colts, but I have to say the Jets plus 7.5 or more is looking tempting. image

The Eagles D called...they just gave up another TD...

Jets D is #1 in the NFL, We also have the #1 rushing game. Defense and running the ball win championships.

Uh no it doesn't outscoring your opponent wins championships, regardless of how you do it. Your mantra is for teams who have sucky offenses.

    Interesting headline.

The first time I recall hearing a different iteration of it was just
after midnight on June 5, 1968.
