Herschel Walker on Howard Stern

Just listening to Herschel Walker on Howard Stern's Sirius radio show. Guess I did not know that much about him personally but he is an impressive guy. Very smart, a gentleman, seems like a nice guy. Right now he is preparing for an MMA bout. The guy is 47 years old!

    Yeah I heard the beginning of the interview, but I had to get out of the truck. I'll catch the replay. I don't know why, but I thought he was in the Hall of Fame. He's only in the College HOF. He's donating all of the proceeds of his first fight to charity.

    Herschel missed his NFL HoF chances by going to the USFL.

    1983 1,812 yds rushing
    1984 1,339 yds rushing 800 yds receiving
    1985 2,411 yds rushing

    His combined rushing numbers for the USFL and the NFL (13,787 yards) would place him 5th All-Time on the NFL's career rushing list. (from wikipedia)


    ESPN selected him as the 3rd greatest player in college football history!~
