I do that occassionaly, but almost always keep the thought to myself. Except for one time a couple years ago. My wife wanted to get all upper veneers on her teeth. Her teeth were structurally sound, but she didnt like the way they looked. We got an estimate from her dentist....$7,200 was the total with my insurance picking up just $1,200 of it because it was for cosmetic reasons. I told my wife that we could buy over 7 ounces of gold instead. I'll never forget the look she shot at me that day! While there arent many things, some things ARE more important than gold or silver. I realized that day that my family's happiness was one of those things.

You should have had her get her teeth capped in gold! That would have been a win/win situation and she could moonlight as a gangsta rapper!
