Where can I find a 2001 Topps Traded Set?

Anybody out there know where I can find a 2001 Topps Traded Set? There is only one on Ebay and it has been sitting in an Ebay store for quite a while and it is priced too high. Is there a store on the internet that specializes in sets? Anybody on these boards have set that they want to part with? I will take a set with or without a Pujols.

What I do is look for who is selling factory 2001 Topps set's on ebay.

Then I ask those sellers who has the traded set's for sale....

usually you can get a lower price that way..

    cheers

Are you talking about the boxes that have little packages inside with foil wrappers?

were there factory sets of 2001 Traded? I didn't think there were. I thought they were only put out in packs.

the only reason I know anything about this set, is that was the last new baseball product I ever opened.

    From Beckett:

The 2001 Topps Traded product was released in October 2001, and features a 265-card base set. The 2001 Topps Traded and the 2001 Topps Chrome Traded were combined and sold together. Each pack contained eight 2001 Topps Traded and two 2001 Topps Chrome Traded cards for a total of ten cards in each pack. The 265-card set is broken down as follows: 99 cards highlighting player deals made during the 2000 off-season and 2001 season; 60 future stars who have never appeared alone on a Topps card; 55 rookies who make their premiere on a Topps card; six managers (T145-T150) who've either switched teams or were newly hired for the 2001 season and 45 traded repints (T100 through T144) of rookie cards featured in past Topps Traded sets. The packs carried a 3.00 per pack SRP and came 24 packs to a box.
  • Yeah, definitely released in foil form. The price you're looking at is the chance to pull more than one Pujols and Ichiro.

I'm in the market for a 2001 Topps Baseball Traded set as well, although most of what I'm seeing out there are the gold cards and the chrome cards. Are the base cards/sets exceptionally scarce--or just unpopular?

The 2001 and 2002 Topps Traded sets are both pretty difficult to come by. The 2002 actually brings around $200. Here's a current auction for a 2001: 2001 Topps Traded Set with Pujols PSA 9. Good luck.

I'm just trying to figure out a strategy for putting together this set--there don't seem to be any particularly scarce cards. I'm not looking for anything super high-grade.

I've never been a big collector of chrome cards, and the fact that I can't filter them out from a websearch for base cards is causing me to like them even less.

    check this out
  • I never realized this set was so popular, but I guess it has the Ichiro and Pujols rookie cards in the Topps base line, so it makes sense.
