So if I wanted to put a set of Raw Circ Morgans.....

So I have another silly idea.
I always liked the look of circulated coins, especially that "CircCameo" look and well... I like Circulated Morgans with dark fields. Anyway I have decided to put a set together in F or so, meaning the odd VG coin and the odd even VF coin if I like the look, but effectively the coins are going to grade fine.
So which ones are going to be the monsters to find? I already know the 85-CC is going to be a disaster to find, I actually saw a VF one today but it was light and had hairlines, not the look I want.

Me To! They are tuff to find.
This one came out of Cuba by way of Miami.

I think this was concidered rarer than the 93-S before some mint bags of 03-Os were found.
Most CCs
An old oldtimer told me he could never complete Morgans from circulation and had to buy some of the CCs from a dealer, although I can't remember which years.
Edited: I think the 1880CC and 1881CC might be a little on the tough side, but not impossible.
1881-CC is tough to find in less than Mint State, real hard in lower circ grades, and more expensive than you're going to like.
1889-CC is just expensive, but there are plenty of them.
1893-CC is not as espensive (but not cheap) and is readily available.
1892-CC is surprisingly scarce in lower circ. grades.
1880-CC is just slightly easier.
The 1897 never seems to come in low grades, and same for the 1921-D.
(I have the entire CC set in PCGS Poor-01, and I wouldn't want to try to do it again.)
I figured the 03-O would be the monster as that was the ULTRA key before the treasury releases.
Here's the kind of look that I am going for...
I know.. I take bad pics but you get the idea......

No way you're going to find them.
In those grades they're mostly dipped out, blast white, hairlined coins.
I think you'll spend a lifetime completing that collection.
Noble effort though!

Thanks, on the money with those grades.

I just saw two '81-CC in a dealer's stock. Both F-12. One is $300 and the other is $375. Both raw. Ouch!
