    go figure, bit of an odd coin to put a hole in, unless it could be a pendant like Ricko suggested?

    Yeah, it was a crude hole, as for a necklace...

  • Back in shop class in middle school we used to drill holes in coins with a drill press when we were bored and when the shop teacher wasn't looking. One day a kid got a nickle stuck on the bit and left it, the shop teacher saw it and said "I like that you guys are being creative but I wish you would do something more productive!" That teacher retired right before my last year of middle school, instead of finding a teacher to replace him they made us do floral arranging...
