cool digs. I like that key too, any idea of its age?
  • the property had a house from the 1880's. it was built over a dump from the 1870's. pretty much everything found has been from 1850's-1880's.

    Very nice - congrats!

The coins have the unmistakable "Demodigger-look" image
Every time I see your posts I can't avoid imagining a massive bucket of trash that surely must have come out of the ground as well.

I've tried hunting demo sites a few times myself, but it seems I don't have what it takes to do it.

  • thats intersting zot, cause i envy your digs in some old european forest. i would think both places are challenging. the real thrill is standing in old dirt and holding something lost by our early inhabitants.

as far as trash, yes there is alot. i bring home handfulls of old trash. i hold on to everything and slowly clean and inspect it all.

  • Nice pics.. I specially liked the key shaped ones...
  • great finds. thanks for sharing.
