The Cowboys came out and played hard and I expect the same this weekend as well. The Eagles will make adjustments and probably have less dropped passes but the Cowboys have momentum going into this game. It also helps that despite the winning streak the media still doubts them and McNabb has plans for the post season. IMO the Cowboys will show up with something to prove and have a great game.

McBarf is a "never was" and "never will be".
Steve..............pick a better fan to root for. You will never be happy being a eagletts fan!
I picked the Cowboys back in 1960 and sure there has been some down years, but not many! I think they hold the record for most years in a row to make the playoffs, most Super Bowl appearences and except for Pittsburg, the most Super Bowl wins. We will win 7 before they do. We have the players. Romo is finally turning into a smart QB who reads defence and makes plays and does not make the stupid plays he used to. If he was taller I would put him right up there with Manning in talent.
I don't like the "beat the same team 3 times" thingy either. We were better than the giants in 2007, but the 3 times thing trumped that. The thing is we beat the eagletts worse this year that we did the giants in 2007.
The eagletts haven't scored on the Cowboys this year. 17-0 and 24-0! >>

I also mistakenly drank the wrong type of beer during the game - I tried a different brand of Sam Adams just for a change of pace, and although it was quite good, I will never again drink that type during an Eagles game. Saturday, it's back to the old dependable Sam Adams Cherry Wheat - that will help bring out the win I'm convinced of it.
I'll attempt to explain what I believe Steve was referring to by "flat." I would refer to it as deviating from a recently proven successful strategy and reverting to an old strategy.
On offense in the last six games before this week the Eagles ran a very balanced attack. Close to 30 or 40 percent runs against passes. They have Weaver and McCoy now who ran the ball well. Westbrook comes back this week and you barely see the other guys. The Cowboys go up by 14 and they begin to pass exclusively. That's the old strategy. The new balanced attack has given confidence to the O line, allowing them to battle and be successful in something other than pass protection.
On defense it was obvious that they should have blitzed from the opening play. Knock Romo on his butt a few times from the start and it's a new ball game. Every team that does this to him is successful. This is the Eagles defense that creates turnovers and changes games.
So that's the "flatness" of it. The Eagles went away from the strategies that had helped them win 6 straight games. Look at their stats in each game this season and you'll see where they began to change. Eagles fans have been pretty amazed that Reid has run the ball so much, but it has worked.
I'm just waiting for SteveK to announce that it's a stone-cold mortal lock that the Eagles win, or that he's willing to pony up that last kidney of his (he lost the first during the Super Bowl loss), and I'm all in for the Eagles to romp!

I agree with that assessment - I think the Eagles will bounce back nicely on Saturday and unless they get some bad breaks or some bad calls by the refs, the Eagles should win this game.
Dallas is the tougher, more physical team, and their D will once again force Donovan to do what he can't--sustain long drives. That's why they swept their regular season games, and that's why they'll win this one.
<< <i>On defense it was obvious that they should have blitzed from the opening play. Knock Romo on his butt a few times from the start and it's a new ball game. >>
Did you not watch the first game in November? That's exactly what the Beagles did and still lost. They tried man to man coverage Sunday and lost. Next attempt at an excuse?
Cowboys fans really believe they're gonna beat any Eagles team in the playoffs? The Cowboys might be a slightly better team on paper...but Romo and the rest of 'em will choke on Saturday. It might be a close game but Romo will find a way to lose it like he consistently does.
Eagles win this game by between 3 to 8 points...no problem...and onward to the Super Bowl.

Of course...but the line on the game is Cowboys -4, and with the "automatic" 3 point home field advantage this game is basically an even game which is why I made those comments - the breaks and the calls could decide this game.
There are other reasons why I think the Eagles should win this game...look at the history of good NFL teams getting blown out...they almost always respond with a better or much better effort in their next game...if the Eagles don't respond and don't beat the Cowboys, then this Eagles team isn't as good this season as I hoped.....the Eagles do have the second youngest team in the NFL, so if they don't get it done Saturday, their future still looks good.
Agreed, they're a young team on the rise (which is tough when you're already near the top) but I don't think they're as good as their record. They miss Johnson BIGTIME.

Different offense played by the Eagles in November than the last 6 games. It was a 4 point game in November.
Apply the balanced offense today and play aggressive defense; the game changes.
I blame the coaches for most of the loss this past week.
I was at the game this past Sunday and closing the roof played a big part in the win IMO . Couldn't hear what the person next to you was saying when the Eagles had the ball, escpecially on 3rd down . The crowd will only be louder this weekend
