<<<<< name sez it all.
The reality is that the Morgan Dollar, although way over collected, has device features which are uncomparable to any other coin.
A good strike, and even a poor strike for that matter, makes the devices look like they were literally "glued" onto the fields. The contact points appear to be a complete 90 degree angle where there is no doubt about where the device begins and the field ends. The fields on clad coins, both Cn and Silver, tend to melt into the devices creating an angular weld. This aspect was never demonatrated more clearly than on the San Francisco Commemorative where the Morgan Dollar reverse was used.
Compare ANY SF Commemorative with a Morgan and the differences are stark.
The name is LEE!

Who sez these are dollars? Where's the denomination on the coin or documentation that these were intended to be a dollar?
