    If inflation increased 100% per year for several years AND wages kept pace, that would be a GREAT thing for people who hold 30 yr mortgages!!!

    At 6000 %, I could pay off my mortgage.

    Of course, then I would need 6,000 dollars

    to pay off my monthly electric bill.

    At $6000, that makes chopping wood start looking economical. Heck, you'll also save the $2000/mo from your gym membership!

    That was really hilarious. I like how the older man knew (from experience?) that inflation is a bad thing. Mark said, "it's gonna help the economy" and he retorted, "No, it's not!" and handed back the petition with a chuckle.
