Did I miss the memo......?

....about starting a thread on wooden coin storage boxes? How about this one? It should accelerate toning, but would it be AT? The good news is the burgulars will never find it.

No, you missed no memo. This topic was started by me and others (Mr. Spud) about 5 years ago when we thought it was an insane notion to store coins in a concentrated acidic and humid environment - especially delicate tone-ready Proof coins such as copper and nickel etc..The L&C Pouch helped make the point a little as well.

    Best to you,
    Eric

My daughter's high school "Chamber Choir" performed a Beatles tribute concert this spring. Before each song was performed, a speaker gave a short talk on the history of each song. Before performing "Norwegian Wood" the speaker stated that the song was a veiled reference to an affair that John Lennon had. The speaker claimed that the song's final lines "So, I lit the fire. Isn't it good? Norwegian wood" indicated that the singer had started the girl's apt. on fire before leaving.

    WTF??

I have listened to that song for more than 40 years and have read most Beatle-related books that I have found over that time and NEVER once had heard that. KInda p*ssed me off. Thanks for letting me vent.

  • It started as a spoof on all the wood box threads, but where it went from there was beyond my control.

I guess literary concepts were just a bit too much for this person to grasp.

I suppose "Let It Be" is about Lourdes and "Across the Universe" is about intergalactic space travel, too.
