While we're on the subject of Ebay buyers who are tools.........

magicminstrelrecords, bought 3 cards in late October and never paid.

danny8blue, bought a PSA graded card from me recently and wants a return, saying the card has a clipped corner and he doesn't like it.

I'll leave feedback Ron, I promise, I've been busy with the holidays and such . . .

Oh, this isn't about me. Dang, I better open my padded envelope from you soon Ron to be sure my card doesn't have clipped corners too.

Oh, and if you're referring to danny8blue, let's just keep going. Before I even sent out the cards, he threatened me with reducing the shipping charge, sending me a message to the effect of "I've bought from you before, so the shipping had better be reasonable." This was, of course, before I had a chance to send an invoice combining shipping charges. I'll go look for the message and post it verbatim, it was classic.

Whatever your idiotic comment is about feedback, I leave feedback for 10 transactions per day. Why feedback is so freaking important for a buyer anyway is beyond me, Ebay may as well get rid of it. But cling to it for validation if you must.

You are the sunshine of my life
That's why I'll always be around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart

I feel like this is the beginning,
Though I've loved you for a million years,
And if I thought our love was ending,
I'd find myself drowning in my own tears

You are the sunshine of my life,
That's why I'll always stay around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart

You must have known that I was lonely,
Because you came to my rescue,
And I know that this must be heaven,
How could so much love be inside of you?

You are the sunshine of my life, yeah,
That's why I'll always stay around,
You are the apple of my eye,
Forever you'll stay in my heart

I would have immediately "lost" the cards, filed for a cancel, and put him on the BBL.

If he NEGd me, I would eat it or fight it; depending on my mood at the time.

Yeah I'm a little cranky but here's the deal. If you're gonna blow me up for something, make it something of substance. I can handle it. But if you're going to whine about little things send me your address and I'll ship you some big boy pants for Christmas.

You know Tom, I bought a 53 Bowman from you (and bid up several others) just before Thanksgiving and I haven't left you feedback yet, so I was messing with you because I (sarcastically) was thinking "maybe he's talking about me". My bad for thinking you and I were cool even though I not only bought some stuff from you a few months back from these boards, but also started a thread about how good your stuff is.

Fear not, it will be my last purchase from you (ebay or otherwise). If I wasn't afraid that you'd bring your big Texas rifle to Detroit and shoot me, I'd have started a whole thread about ebay sellers who send you "Please pay for ebay purchase . . ." reminders less than 24 hours after they send you an invoice. But I won't start that thread. Because I'm afraid.

    On a related note:

Since the NPB schedule was changed last month to 4-days - down from 7-days - EBAY
sends out "reminders" to buyers who have not paid FAST.

This policy is resulting in multiple duplicate invoices. The seller sends one, EBAY sends
one, the seller sends another, EBAY sends another, etc.

MANY buyers are wrongly blaming sellers for the duplicate invoices.

I've already seen a few listings where the seller told buyers to ignore those automatically generated messages. Ebay really is being obnoxious. Some sellers probably like it, but I've had very little trouble with vintage card buyers. Some here and there, but not enough to where I want ebay sending out messages that are going to annoy the other 99 percent.

A month ago I had a guy win a graded card auction, no word from him, it was $20 so I filed a npb got my fee's back and moved on, then last week I sell another copy of the same card for $30 (I have about 10), the first buyer then emails me apologizing, mentions a major life crisis and offers to pay for his item, I'm thinking whatever, I'll give it to him for $20. Well stupid me mentions that I also sold the $30 copy and I have a bunch, I guess when he saw one sell for $30 he figured the one he won for $20 was a good deal and wanted to complete the sale after backing away earlier, then when he finds out I also sold the $30 copy he backs away again (with no communication), guess he figures he might get one even cheaper, unreal...

    All,

My attempt at humor was misunderstood, as I re-read my reply to the OP, I can see where it makes no sense to anyone but me, since I'm the only one who knows that I won one of Tom's auctions a while back. I wasn't getting on Tom about feedback or anything else.

-Tom (not the RonBurgundy Tom, the detroitfan2 Tom)

P.S. For the record, the 53 Bowman I received from Ron Tom is sweet.

Tom - thank you and I apologize for the vitriol.

As a couple board members can attest, I've had some issues with the post office and Ebay complainers the last few weeks that have been way out of the ordinary. When I saw Felicia's troubles this morning, I about exploded as I'm so sick of these people who ruin the hobby and basic buying/selling rules. And I'm still bitter over Mr. Danny8Blue and that old chestnut.

I'm going to make this right.

Last night , I bought a seasonal gift for my wife. The seller has already sent me 6 invoices and then , about an hour ago , sent a question to the buyer , thanking me for my purchase and wanting a direct answer about when I intend on paying for it. I'm thinking about buying the same item from someone else and letting them see if they can set the record for most invoices ever sent to a buyer. --- Sonny
