I know that those things tone crazy but there has to be a point where its just not natural.
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.

The red one was graded and returned to me a couple of weeks ago from PCGS.
The blue one was purchased off of Teletrade in last Sunday's sale. I don't know when it was graded.

They usually bring strong money as well.
I wish they would not have bb'd mine though
And, I know these weren't "made" because I had them in aftermarket holders

Pat, you have more experience with these than those above that have the problems with them. They equate 1 coins series to another without understanding what they are saying.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I am not sure I understand your point.
As I stated they do tone naturally in very wild patterns and colors. They do generally bring a high premium regardless of what anyone thinks. There has to be some point where the toning is no longer natural but I am not one to judge or to try and make claims about the toning.

You bring up a good point Ron. For example, let's say we all mostly collected Peace dollars. We know that it is pretty rare bird for a real toner to come along. Now, if we put our blinders on and only considered that series, then (wildly toned) Morgan dollars would all appear AT to us.
Each series has it's markers for what to look for when it comes to toning. Example: Morgans: If there is ghosting around the stars than it is generally accepted the toning is authentic. We all at this point, thanks to the web and coin seminar DVD's know that.
Certain colors in specific pattern bands or 'rings' also validates Morgan color.
With Indian cents you look for those micro mini-'spots' of non-color to help authenticate AT. So many 'tells' for each series.
So, we look at these (999 fine) Silver American Eagles. If we look at them as we do Peace dollars we could condemn just about all of them with toning. We might upon up the gap of acceptability if we allowed in Morgan dollar perimeters for our consideration and judgement. The issue is, these Eagles don't share as many characteristics with their earlier brethren as is easy to believe. Fortunately, PCGS distinguishes between them all and looks at the coin.
Sure, many valid Eagles don't make it that probably should (case in point: look at coinsarefun's Eagles. They're authentically toned, IMHO but caught PCGS in a moment of 'what's politically correct' moment.
(((And, please don't show off examples of what you consider obviously AT'ed coins as PCGS grades tens of thousands of coins a month and of course some slip buy that shouldn't have holdered and it is those examples that always tend to show up in AT/NT debates as if they are the norm. They're simply not and it's disingenuous to state otherwise.)))
I know my post is a bit rambling and free flow thinking, typed out, but I hope I've made some good points.
