The equation that relates perimeter to radius is: perimeter = (2*pi*radius) Arc length is the length along a curve. The arc length of a full circle is the perimeter.
A curve such as this can be modelled with two circles. An inner one and an outer one. Both circles have the same centerpoint. These two circles differ by a radius of 60 feet.
If I substitute "deltaR" for "r", I can convert to an equation that relates how much perimeter difference there will be between two circles of a certain radius difference. The radius difference we know is 60 feet. One could also set up two circle equations and subtract them and you'll see how I can substitute (deltaR for r1 - r2) and (deltaPerimeter for p1 - p2)
So, for a full circle (360 degrees), the difference between the inner and outer arc lengths are 2*pi*60. 376.991 feet.
Subtract the two values given for arc length (174.533 from 195.477). The arc length difference given is 20.944.
Take the ratio of the full circle perimeter difference to the known perimeter difference. 376.991 / 20.944 = 1/18
The road traces out 1/18th of a circle.
1/18th of a circle is 20 degrees. So the curve exits 20 degrees to the right of the original bearing.

Do I have to do the other one? I don't recognize the jar. Wonder how many ounces it held. Average pretzel density...hm...coin stacking...
We now have two names in the hat for getting the bearing correct, but no one has correctly identified how many coins are in the jug. One person is very close, but not perfect.
Last Hint: if the number of coins is this year, then we just lost Sonny Bono, Jack Lord and Harry Caray, but we gained Elle Fanning; Exxon buys Mobil; John Glenn flies again; Henry Hyde has 81 questions for Bill clinton about Monica Lewinsky. I will bet number 82 was what's her phone number.

Hoard the keys.
Thanks for the chance

and there are no halves in the jar.

Or maybe 998 kennedy halves.

Jennifer Flowers, when asked if her experience with Clinton was much like Monika Lewinski's, said "close, but no cigar".

....but the cement bag one was wrong then cause i came up with 982
47lbs x .5295=24.886
24.886lbs=11288.32726g
11288.32726g/12.5g=981.59 half dollars
one coin weighs 11.3 grams +/-
weight conversion
11.3 gram = 0.00026502378326 bag [portland cement]
1998 x 0.00026502378326 = 0.5295 bag [portland cement]
Yes, I have a lot of time on my hands. This place is keeping me out of trouble.

Remember this post?
I had just finished searching two boxes of Kennedys for silver; these two coins were on my desk not in the jug when I took the pictures.
