A first year in half dime coinage and an old (ANA) NGC holder to boot.
this lady exibits the nicest toning I have ever seen on a 1794 half dime and am sure deserves the premium I paid for it.
the surfaces exibit semi-proof like surfaces especially on the obverse and the colors just light up in just the most beautiful fashion!

I still have a terrible camera and my pictures cannot do this coin any justice.

Grade her if you can!!!

We can see the AU on the label, so that limits the guessed. I'm thinking 55.

wow, very cool coin. based on what the books seem to say not my direct knowledge about these early federal coins I would say AU50 of course grade is not a so much a factor here as this coin is so attractive and a wonderful planchet no visible adjustment marks or damage simply an amazing coin.

Gorgeous! Hard to say from the pics provided, but I'll go with the emerging consensus and say somewhere in the 50 to 55 range. On some level, for a coin this nice, do you really care about the grade?
