Completed the Peace dollar set...but again, I get lured into upgrades.
Working on IHC's MS, and AU CBH's. Dabbling in keys.

You think registered mail is expensive? Try $2200 from the UK!
Based on my spreadsheet (where varieties are grouped with non-varieties, but different designs are separate), of the 2,339 coins needed I currently have 1226 (52.4%).
Percentage is higher if you count raw coins.
Of course I never complete this set, pockets aren't deep enough for the early dates......and not sure if I want to keep up with what the mint is spitting out these days.
As far as what I'm working on? Well about the same thing I have been for several years. A complete, non-proof variety set of Classic Head Quarter and Half Eagles.

On the bright side with the number you get every year the percentage of the whole is going up quicker.
As for me, I'm working on a business strike set of 1858 material (no gold) and an 1893 PRCameo set (no gold).
U.S. Type Set
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!
<< <i>Same one I've been working on. >>
I've always wondered about this so I figured that I'd ask...Your set is complete in that you have all the coins, just perpetually looking for upgrades?

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

BONGO HURTLES ALONG THE RAIN SODDEN HIGHWAY OF LIFE ON UNDERINFLATED BALD RETREAD TIRES
It's been a very interesting venture. Now if I could just find that 1927-s, 1934-s and 1935-s I'd be set.
All dealers have rows of 1928's and 1921's, but try looking for a 1927-s in higher grade.

(My old image host went belly-up and all the pix are bad on that thread- gotta transfer 'em to Photobucket).
My trademark Holey Coin Vest collection is more random and less organized into coherent "sets", though I lack only about four large cents from having a complete date set of holey large cents. One day I might organize it and actually try to make a coherent type set out of the Liteside portion of the holey collection- at least a 19th century type set. I'm well on the way there.
