He pictures it much the way I always figured it except that
I had always seen it as a rout in the bond market that does
the real damage. The effects would be similar but if it occurs
    it will be blindingly fast.

If it happens in bonds it will progress a little more slowly. One
assumes there is a contingency plan or one would soon emerge.
Ultimately all that matters is our ability to feed ourselves rather
than the financing of this project. Infrastructure doesn't evapo-
rate just because the dollar or bonds do.

    thanks for links.

---> reminds me of the book: Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse - (April 7, 2009)-- good book, if anyone has not read it.

Another good one is: One Second after.

I have read them both and both books are excellent reading - you won't be able to put them down.

Patriots, is especially a good book for many reasons. You will just have to read it on your own to see why ..... (NOT the same as Patriots, the movie!!)

I'm only 200 pages into the book, but i think it is a character from Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged. I've been catching references to the book on this forumn and Fast Money on CNBC now this story.

I got a copy to read, but the print is too small. So I am going to rsell it, and get it on CD if I can.
