It's difficult to be critical of a coin like that, Guy.
Stick with the 65 and don't bounce it anymore.
It really is a beautiful coin but is not fully struck. The peripherals are beautiful......the center is a little weak.
It's missing central point braid detail near the knot. It has the "rugosity" to the hide, but at the shoulder, look to the left and you will see missing high point detail to the hair on the hip just above the hoof.
I only do this because you like a nice rundown opinion on your coins.
"Opinion" being the key word.

I agree with you, Pete. I'm very happy with the MS65, the coin is maxed. It took a couple of years and three tries to get it there.
TTT'ing this. I haven't browsed through my collection in months, and after seeing this piece, wondered if I'd posted images back in the day. It was nice spending an hour or so with my coins. Like seeing old friends.

What do you think the right answer is?

Is this not a superb strike for a 1920 Buffalo??
Buffalo nickel series is one, when strike per date & mintmark, is definitely a consideration. VERY tough set to grade.....
<< <i>This 1920 Buffalo nickel is beautiful in hand >>
And it don't look too shabby in pictures, either!
