I understand the statistics, but I still occassionally play the lottery (as well as gamble at blackjack and craps). For some of us, it is a minor vice and we aren't too miserly and want to enjoy some fun
In memory of the USAF Security Forces lost: A1C Elizabeth N. Jacobson, 9/28/05; SSgt Brian McElroy, 1/22/06; TSgt Jason Norton, 1/22/06; A1C Lee Chavis, 10/14/06; SSgt John Self, 5/14/07; A1C Jason Nathan, 6/23/07; SSgt Travis Griffin, 4/3/08; 1Lt Joseph Helton, 9/8/09; SrA Nicholas J. Alden, 3/3/2011. God Bless them and all those who have lost loved ones in this war. I will never forget their loss.
I never won the lottery but have been known to give a lot away.
I often hand out low grade Seated Dimes to young kids at shows just to see them smile. It is worth far more than the $4 I would spend at Starbucks, you should try it sometime.
I seldom check PM's but do check emails often jason@seated.org

Some years ago my mother in law hit the lottery , she called up my wife all excited, the $25 she hit on the scratch off did not result in any dividends for the rest of the family.

Definitely way cooler than the 1909-S PCGS graded Lincoln I gave away last year!!! The Matte Proof Lincoln lasvegasteddy gave away last year was pretty darn generous as well

Thinking back on just how many of those you found in OBWs, I could see arguing that you did hit the lottery.
Seriously, that was one of the more generous giveaways I've seen, and if I did happen into some sort of windfall I'd like to think I'd find a way to share my good fortune.

True that, but a life lived only within statistical probability is going to be a fairly dull life.
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!
