LOL. Good one!
I know your question is sincere, Bear. But you'll get some funny replies. Like "Yup. In fact, most of my coins have a money value right on them." Lance.
Bear, you sound like my wife. Her most repeated line goes something like, "You spent $125 for a quarter??"
I thought you were going to say, "that your collection, is just pretty average compared to some of the coins one might see, for example, at the Baltimore show?"
It is just fascinating, pretty and even beautiful old money. Pete

Good analogy Pete. My wife used to be "understanding" and "accepting" of my hobby/compuslive obsession, until she asked "Why the he11 did you spend $700 on a quarter?" My interpretation is that $90 bucks is OK, but $700 bucks is not acceptable.

Yah, but it's cooler money than what's circulating currently!
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." What did you think it was? Have you discovered you were caught up in a numismatic mania or some sort of mystical numismatica?
